I am Rita Miriam, a Sicilian 28 years old girl. I am from Trappeto a little town near Palermo. I am here to implement my European Voluntary Service in Wola village.
I chose to be involved in this project “Entrepreneurship and culture for rural development” because I have found it very interesting. It aim is to improve entrepreneurial skills of local youngsters through workshop and training. I’m looking forward to be involved in this type of activities. I graduated in Business and Administration so for me it’s a huge chance to understand how education can boost entrepreneurial thought. Another part of the project is connected with culture. I am going to promote intercultural exchange through teaching Italian and English languages and, if there will be interested among local inhabitants we can prepare an Italian cousine workshops as well. I’m really curious to discover traditional polish dishes, culture and language. So you are invited to help me in this discovery. Erasmus+ is, for me, a great occasion to became more aware about myself and European citizenship. I have been involved in different kind of actions: training course, youth exchange, job shadowing. And each time I felt better, stronger and open-minded.
My hobby it’s cooking, and when I stay in another country I want to taste traditional dishes. Usually when I came back in Sicily I prepare it for my friends and parents, this is also intercultural exchange for me. I am a good baker too. I love to mix art and bakery and thank’s to cake design I find the way to express my creativity.
By the way we have a lot of time to know better each-other.
See you around!
