Let’s debate!

Debating means ‘to fight’, argue about (a subject), especially in a formal manner. Today, debating implies a discussion between two parties to form a conclusion. This skill involves two parties (usually) holding different views about the same topic.

Debate is a valuable activity for students of all skill levels.  Debate teaches useful skills for other academic pursuits and life more generally.   Most obviously, debaters build confidence speaking in public and expressing their ideas eloquently.  That comfort speaking in front of others is useful in so many areas of life, from interviews to school presentations to discussions in college seminars.

When did Polish-Georgian relations start?

Hello dear readers, In this blog I would like to tell you about the first impression as a Georgian, who arrived in Poland, Upper Silesia, Katowice. Since I had the chance to visit Silesian museum (Muzeum Śląskie) in Katowice, I had the feeling that Georgia and Poland had many similarities in history. First impression about the people was also nice, since mostly people in Upper Silesia are polite to foreigners and ready to help you, even though they will speak to you in Polish, they still try to assist you in case of any questions.

Cześć readers It is Tamuna again and today is at the same time sad and happy day as my amazing project is over. As I am thinking and reflecting on my past 10 month I wonder what marks our time? If one life can really make an impact on the world… or if the choices we make matter? I believe they do. And I believe that one man can change many lives. Most of our lives are a series of images, they pass us by like towns on a highway. But sometimes a moment stuns us as it happens, and we know that this instant is more than a fleeting image. We know that this moment, every part of it, will live on forever. My volunteering journey was full with such moments that will live in my heart forever…
